In the EU, PET bottles will no longer go to the PET recycling point without a cap. From the summer of 2024, the tethered cap for PET bottles will be mandatory according to the EU regulation. Unscrew the bottle, till the lid backwards, let it click and drink. What does PackSys Global have to do with it?

New legislation in the European Union requires that by July 2024, all plastic closures must remain “tethered” (attached) to single-use beverage containers after the container is opened. This will bring a big change for the beverage packaging industry. One of PackSys Global’s core competences focuses on the slitting and folding of tamper evident bands. PackSys Global has developed multiple solutions to solve the “tethered” requirements and is ready to answer this demand.

PackSys Global AG, based in Rüti, Switzerland, today announced the name change of its India office. Effective 7th May 2021 PackSys Global (India) Pvt. Ltd., has become Brueckner Group India Private Limited.

The individual companies have been on the market since 1969 and the force behind their entrepreneurial development was and is the passion for world-class engineering. High-performance products and know-how have established the reputations of Combitool AG, Texa AG, Madag Printing Systems AG and PackSys Global AG.

Texa AG, based in Haldenstein, Switzerland, and PackSys Global AG, based in Rüti, Switzerland, today announced that the companies will merge effective 1st January, 2021. The merged companies will operate under the name PackSys Global AG. Texa AG was acquired in 2013 by the Siegsdorf, Germany based Brückner Group GmbH and integrated into the management structure of PackSys Global AG.

The world is changing rapidly and so is the packaging industry. Many laminate tube manufacturers need to quickly increase their use of mono-material Plastic Barrier Laminates (PBL) to deliver more environmentally responsible and recyclable tubes. This is seen not only in the Oral Care market, which has traditionally heavily relied on non-recyclable Aluminium Barrier Laminates (ABL), but also for the Cosmetics market.

The project group PrintCYC, of which PackSys Global is a member, has achieved remarkable results regarding the recycling of printed plastic films and processing of recyclate.
