Our side seamer machines transform traditional laminate into high-quality tube bodies with precision and reliability. In being committed to sustainability and meeting customer needs, we have developed a completely new type of tube – the thin laminate tube with a detachable paper layer (detachable tube). Our solution: The Co-Seaming process, carried out on the trusted BeautySeamer.

Paper layer

Simply remove the outer paper sleeve and place it in the paper recycling stream.

Laminate

Using especially pure laminates, such as those based on PE, enables high-quality recycling within the plastics stream.

Tube head and cap

Producing the tube head and applying a cap made from PE, combined with a PE-based laminate, allows for single-material recycling within the plastics stream.

Process for sustainable tubes

In the Co-Seaming process, a laminate layer and a paper layer are fed simultaneously, one on top of the other, into the side seamer machine and processed together. The result is a sturdy tube body with two functional yet separate layers. This enables clean material separation after use, offering a clear advantage in terms of recyclability, sustainability, and circular economy practices.

  • Thin laminate

    The laminate is seamed using proven overlap technology. It provides a barrier function and protects the contents of the tube.

  • Paper layer

    The paper layer is bonded at the same time using hot melt adhesive, but kept separate. It gives the tube its stability, a natural feel, and a sustainable appearance.

    With speeds of up to 25 meters per minute (on the side seamer machine) and 120 tubes per minute (including the header-capper machine), maximum efficiency is guaranteed.

    The outer paper layer delivers a natural feel and a clear message of sustainability – ideal for brands that take environmental responsibility seriously.

  • Retrofitting instead of new investment

    The BeautySeamer can be easily retrofitted for the Co-Seaming process – requiring minimal investment and ready to use right away.

Compatible machines

The tube is manufactured on our proven side seamer machine, the BeautySeamer. Only minor adjustments are needed to start the Co-Seaming process:
