capLAB

After closures have gone through the slitting and/or folding process, we offer you a quality control solution for your closures. We can combine powerful camera systems with our specially developed “capLAB” inspection machine and integrate them seamlessly into your production line. The camera system captures key parameters in real time, such as injection molding data, cavity number, ovality, and contamination of the closure. The closures are then automatically forwarded to our inspection machine based on preprogrammed criteria.

Pull-off strength

The pull-off force of the tamper-evident band is measured on both conventional closures and tethered caps. In the case of tethered caps, the pull-off strength of the hinge is also evaluated.
Leak tightness

Leak tightness is tested by applying air into the closure at a defined pressure and for a specified duration.
