Rüti, July 2025. PackSys Global will be unveiling a fully automated tube head manufacturing process for premium cosmetics tubes at K 2025 in Düsseldorf, thus raising the bar when it comes to efficiency, sustainability, and product choice. Together with the companies of the Brückner Group, we will be demonstrating how cutting-edge packaging technologies can interact in an economically, environmentally, and technologically optimum way.

The centerpiece of the trade fair stand is a fully functional Prestige 45 tube head manufacturing process that showcases all key stages of compression molding. From unpacking the tube heads through to shipping-ready packing. This state-of-the-art process combines three crucial machines to create a perfectly coordinated overall system.

Frank Näf, Head of Marketing & Communication

At the start of the process, the BoxButler precisely unpacks extruded or laminated tubes from boxes.  Thanks to its controlled product guidance, it forwards the sensitive packaging units in a material-saving way. It can be flexibly integrated within existing lines, which represents a huge benefit, especially with changing products and formats.

At the next stage, the Prestige 45 attaches the tube head and cap to the tubes in a single step. This machine has been specially developed for demanding applications involving premium extruded tubes. On account of its short setup times and outstanding format flexibility, it is the perfect solution for dynamic production environments in the cosmetics sector.

At the end of the process, the CoreMaster securely and stably packages the finished tubes in boxes. The system ensures efficient, ordered filling without the need for manual intervention – a key step toward a fully automated production process with unwavering quality.

noSho – a New Generation of Sustainable Tubes
The Prestige 45 processes the new and sustainable noSho tube solution, which will be showed for the first time at K 2025. Unlike conventional tubes, noSho completely dispenses with a separate plastic closure and instead relies on an integrated manufacturing process. This reduces material use by up to 80 percent, significantly streamlines the production chain, and considerably reduces the environmental footprint.

PackSys developed noSho in response to the rising demand for resource-saving packaging in the cosmetics sector – without compromising on design and functionality. The tube meets high aesthetic demands, can be effectively recycled, and boasts high operational efficiency.

Automation All the Way to Palletization: the LineButler
The LineButler supplements the PackSys machine portfolio with an end-of-line solution that, if desired, will automate all steps of the packaging process: from carton forming and tube insertion through to palletizing. The LineButler not only eases the strain on machine operators, but also enables a significant reduction in personnel requirements by fully automating all stages of the packaging process, while simultaneously ensuring consistently high packaging quality and stable processes. Thanks to its modular design, it can be individually configured to existing processes, the available space, and ergonomic requirements.

Service Innovation with smartcube and Retrofit Solutions
With the smartcube digital platform, PackSys Global offers a comprehensive control center for spare parts management, training, and production, maintenance, and energy data. Networking all service functions boosts transparency, simplifies decision-making, and helps to optimize machine performance and operating costs.

Targeted retrofit solutions make it possible to update existing systems to the latest state of the art. Whether replacing legacy components or incorporating new functions, PackSys Global ensures that machines retain their reliability, excellent performance, and future viability in the long term.

capLAB – Top-class Quality Assurance for Caps
In the area of slitting, PackSys Global will be showcasing the capLAB, an intelligent system for the automated inspection of caps. Parameters such as pull-off strength, tightness, geometry, and cleanliness are recorded and analyzed in real time. The seamless documentation of all measurement data ensures consistently high product quality, significantly reducing scrap and the need for reworking.
