Company overview

America Embalagens is one of South America’s largest manufacturers of rigid plastic packaging, headquartered in Jundiaí, Brazil. The company operates several production sites across Brazil and beyond, including facilities in Argentina. With decades of experience, America Embalagens serves five major markets — beverages, food, household cleaning, personal care, and beauty — offering high quality, innovative packaging solutions. Its capabilities cover the entire value chain, from product design and mold engineering to mass production and advanced decoration technologies such as hot stamping, silk screen printing, and laser engraving. A strong focus on technology, research and development, and sustainability, combined with comprehensive quality certifications, positions America Embalagens as a trusted partner for global brands.

Challenge

Despite its extensive experience in rigid plastic packaging, America Embalagens had no prior background in cosmetic tube production. Entering this segment represented a completely new business — involving new materials, new processes, and significantly higher aesthetic and quality requirements. Driven by growing demand for premium cosmetic packaging and new technologies entering the market, the company identified an opportunity to expand its portfolio. However, stepping into cosmetic tube production meant starting from zero: building technical know-how, defining production standards, and ensuring reliable, high-quality output from the very first tube. The challenge was to launch this new production process without compromising efficiency, flexibility, or quality, while meeting the strict expectations of cosmetic brands. To achieve this, America Embalagens needed a technology partner offering proven expertise, intuitive equipment, and long-term support for a smooth market entry.

Solution

To enter cosmetic tube production, America Embalagens partnered with Packsys Global and invested in three Packsys Global Prestige 40 lines, complemented by a coextrusion solution. The Prestige 40 lines provided a reliable, intuitive, and future-proof production platform, enabling stable processes, consistent quality, and the flexibility required for demanding cosmetic applications. With Packsys Global’s NeoSeam technology, America Embalagens produces tubes that combine a premium, extrusion-like appearance with the functional advantages of advanced seaming. Beyond the equipment itself, Packsys Global supported the project from process definition and commissioning to operator training and ongoing support. This close collaboration ensured a smooth ramp-up and allowed America Embalagens to establish a fully integrated tube production setup — gaining full control over quality, productivity, and future scalability from its very first step into the cosmetic tube market.

The NeoSeam technology completely breaks the technological gap between different types of plastic tubes and introduces a new approach that aligns perfectly with how we wanted to position ourselves in this segment. Entering the plastic tube market alongside Packsys became the ideal partnership for us.

Would I recommend Packsys Global? Absolutely.
